Each week, our school focuses on a Manner of the Week — a modern manner that students learn about and practice together across classrooms and shared spaces.
This week’s focus is Make Room.
Students are learning that making room can look like noticing others, inviting someone to join, and helping people feel included.
Talking about what inclusion looks like in everyday moments can help students recognize simple ways to help others feel welcome.

No screens. No step-by-step directions. Just imagination, teamwork, and a room full of builders.
Builder Days in the computer lab are designed for open-ended exploration, where students create and discover through hands-on play.
Whether they are building patterns, designing structures, or trying out a brand new idea, students are strengthening essential skills: creativity, collaboration, persistence, and curiosity.
Sometimes, the best learning starts with a pile of materials and the freedom to build.

Hope Week is off to a meaningful start 💙
Today, our students gathered for a special kickoff assembly with Tom Ballard, the Heart Rock Guy, and a powerful reminder that kindness is our superpower.
Students heard how small acts of kindness can make a big difference—and each student went home with a heart rock of their own as a reminder to reach out, create kindness, and share hope.
We’re excited to see our school community carry that message through the week.

America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.
Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.
Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.
Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.
You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.
Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.
Applications due March 18.

THREE. TEAMS. TO. STATE. 🏆🐾🤖
Bountiful Elementary is headed to the Utah VEX IQ State Championship with not 1, not 2, but 3 qualifying teams!
Today we’re celebrating two more Bobcat teams who punched their ticket through World Skills:
✅ VEXers — Skills Score Qualified
✅ BOT_BROS — Skills Score Qualified
That means our State lineup is officially: THE 4BIDDEN5 + VEXers + BOT_BROS 💚
These skills scores don’t happen by accident—this is hours of building, coding, testing, failing, fixing, and trying again. We’re so proud of the work (and grit!) these teams have put in.

Each week, our school focuses on a Manner of the Week — a modern manner that students learn about and practice together across classrooms and shared spaces.
Students are learning that taking responsibility for their own messes helps keep our school organized, welcoming, and ready for everyone to use.
These weekly manners are designed to be informative and to encourage conversations at home. Talking about simple habits — like putting materials away or tidying up shared spaces — helps reinforce responsibility beyond the school day.

Inspiration isn’t loud. It’s how you show up all day long.
A (slightly overdue!) shoutout to The Silly Gooses:
🏆 Inspire Award at their first competition
🏆 Judges Award at their second
The Inspire Award recognizes teams who bring positivity, integrity, and teamwork throughout the event.
The Judges Award is special recognition from the judges for a team that stands out—often for exemplary effort, perseverance, and a strong, student-centered interview.
Proud of how they support each other, communicate, and represent our program. Well done, Silly Gooses. 🐾🤖

Each week, our school focuses on a Manner of the Week — a modern manner that all students learn about and practice together.
This week’s focus is Keeping Unkind Thoughts to Yourself.
Students are learning that we all have many thoughts each day, and that choosing which words to share — and which to keep to ourselves — helps create a safe and respectful environment.
These weekly manners are designed to be informative and to encourage thoughtful conversations at home. Talking about how words can affect others, and when it’s helpful to pause before speaking, can support positive communication skills that students use every day.
