Back to School Night = the moment Bountiful Elementary starts feeling like Bountiful again.
The hallways filled up. The playground got loud. Old friends found each other, new Bobcats got a first look around, Student Council jumped in to help, and our favorite Bobcat, Bobby made plenty of new friends along the way.
Thank you to the families, teachers, staff, volunteers, and students who came together to kick off a new year.
Because Make It Matter isn’t just our theme—it’s what happens when people show up, connect, help one another, and make this school a place where everyone belongs.
We’re ready, Bobcats. Let’s make this year matter. 💚

Make It Matter can look like a gym full of clothes, a crew of Bobcats, and a whole lot of sorting.
This year’s Hope Squad jumped in last week to tackle the mountain of clothing donations collected for Back to School Night—folding, sorting by size, and getting everything ready for families to browse tonight.
To everyone who donated: thank you.
And to our Hope Squad: way to start the year by putting our school theme into action.
If something on the tables can help your family start the year strong, it’s there for you tonight.
This is how Bobcats Make It Matter.

Right now, the hallway displays are in their blank-canvas era.
But not for long.
In just 8 days, our walls start turning back into a gallery of Bobcat thinking and creativity. We can't wait until our students start filling the walls with work that matters because the best school displays don’t just decorate the building.
They tell the story of the learning happening inside it.

Only 9 days until our Bobcats are back.
This summer, they filled our classrooms with crafts, games, color, conversations, and the kind of creativity that makes a school feel alive.
We can’t wait to do it all again.

10 days until the gym gets loud again.
PE with Coach K was never just “go run around for a while.”
It was giant cup towers under the basketball hoop, parachute hideouts, teamwork trains, big laughs, big movement, and the kind of games where Bobcats learned to cheer each other on without even realizing that was the lesson.
Coach K won’t be returning this year, and she will be missed. She brought so much energy, fun, and joy to Bountiful—and these smiles say it better than we ever could.

11 days until the art room gets comes back to life.
We’re counting down with a flashback to Bobcats unleashing their creativity through painting.
The tables have been too clean. The hallways have been too quiet. The art room misses our Bobcats—and so does Miss Linsey.
We can’t wait to see what they create next.

The robots are charging. The fields are waiting. The countdown is on.
Last year ended with weeks of Robot Games in Computer Science: Dash robots rolling across the field, Ozobots following student-made paths, and Coding Critters taking on tiny obstacle courses.
In 12 days, our Bobcats are back—and we’re ready for more coding, testing, laughing, problem-solving, and “wait… it worked!” moments.

Reading is cool—and our Bobcats have proved it all summer! 📚🍦
Join us August 4 from 9:30–11:00 a.m. for our Summer Library Celebration. We’ll recognize students who read for 45 days and enjoy a treat.
The library will be closed August 11, but books may still be returned to the cart in the vestibule next to the office.

Summer learning at Bountiful Elementary is busy, creative, hands-on, and definitely not boring.
Our Bobcats are learning by doing and having a pretty great time while they're at it.

Week 2 of Summer School is making waves in the art room!
Bountiful Elementary students created underwater scenes by layering paint, texture, color, and cut-paper shapes. Each ocean showed off its own mix of fish, sea creatures, bold blue water, and imagination.
Pretty fin-tastic work, Bobcats!

Tiny computers + creative coding = big smiles.
Bountiful Elementary summer school students explored micro:bits—tiny programmable computers—by turning them into digital name tags with lights, messages, icons, and sound effects.
Along the way, they practiced sequencing, debugging, and problem-solving skills. The best part? Watching them light up right along with their creations.

Robotics lesson of the day: sometimes the robot does exactly what you programmed it to do… and not at all what you hoped it would do. 🤖😅
Our UER Robotics students took on the aMAZEing Challenge at Lagoon during USU’s Physics Day, and this one was different: no remotes, no driver saves, no last-second course corrections.
Just code, sensors, testing, problem-solving, and a whole lot of “well, that didn’t go as planned.”
It was tough. It was funny. It was real robotics.
Our Bobcats kept learning, adjusting, cheering each other on, and trying again. The maze may have kept them guessing, but they absolutely earned the rides afterward. 🎢💙

Future CEOs, CFOs, sales associates, engineers, bankers, reporters, and community leaders reporting for duty. 💼✨
On Tuesday, our 5th graders visited JA City, also known as BizTown, for a hands-on field trip where students got to run a mini city for the day. BizTown gives students the chance to step into real-world roles, manage businesses, make decisions, earn paychecks, work with budgets, provide services, and see how a community functions when everyone has a job to do.
From banking and business operations to customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving, our Bobcats got a crash course in what it takes to keep a city moving.
And based on these photos? The future is looking pretty capable.

Perfect attendance deserves a perfect celebration! ⭐🍦
These Bobcats showed incredible commitment by being at school every day, and they celebrated with a special lunch field trip to Arctic Circle.
We are so proud of their dedication, responsibility, and Bobcat spirit!

Move over, history books — 6th grade brought the ancient world to the stage! 🌍🎭
Our Bountiful Elementary 6th graders performed “Dig It,” taking the audience on a journey through some of the civilizations that helped shape our world, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome.
From pyramids and philosophers to emperors, skeletons, and explorers, students brought history to life with music, costumes, confidence, and plenty of personality. A huge shoutout to our 6th grade teachers and everyone who helped make this performance happen!
Way to go, Bobcats — you really dug into history. 🐾✨

Earlier this week, our Bountiful Elementary Decathlon team showed up ready to run, jump, stack, dribble, throw, cheer, and give it everything they had!
From cup stacking and basketball dribbling to curl-ups, running events, and all the in-between moments of teamwork, these students represented Bountiful with heart, grit, and a whole lot of Bobcat energy.
A huge shoutout to Coach K for bringing Decathlon back to Bountiful and giving students this awesome opportunity to compete alongside schools from across the district.
We are so proud of every student who stepped up, tried hard, and supported their team. Way to go, Bobcats! 💚

Big congratulations to next year’s Bountiful Elementary Student Council and Hope Squad! 🎉💙
These students were selected to help lead, serve, encourage, and support our school community during the 2026–2027 school year. From showing kindness in the halls to helping with school events and being positive examples for others, we can’t wait to see the impact they make.
We are so proud of each of you and excited for the year ahead. Way to go, Bobcats! 🐾
