Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach colder weather, we want to ensure a smooth and safe drop-off experience for our students. Please adhere to the following procedures in the drop-off zone:
Patience is Key: Please do not have your child exit the vehicle until you are between the two green flags.
Prepare in Advance: While waiting in line, please help your child have everything ready for a quick exit.
Right-Hand Side Only: Students should only exit the vehicle on the right side for safety.
Stay in the Vehicle: Drivers should remain in their cars. We have helpers available to assist with doors if needed.
Pull Forward: To keep the line moving, please pull forward in the drop-off zone when space allows.
No Rush After Drop-Off: After drop-off, please be patient as you leave the parking lot. It's important for everyone's safety.
While you may have different opinions about these procedures, following them helps ensure a safe environment for our students. Safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your kindness and cooperation. Thank you for your efforts in getting students to school on time—happy kids make for a great start to the day!

Happy Halloween from your Bountiful Elementary crew! This week may have turned us "Inside Out," but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We love all our little ghouls and goblins!

You're invited to a DSD Library event! Brandon Mull, author of the Fablehaven series and more, will be signing books at Syracuse High School on October 4th at 5:00pm. This event is free for all families in our Davis School District community. Hope to see you there!

Fall has arrived, and that means the chance of colder weather, rain, or even snow! Bountiful Elementary will follow district guidelines regarding inclement weather, but be advised that, even on bad weather days, students will not be allowed in the building before 8:20am. (And the only students that need to be here that early are those who are signed up for breakfast). Breakfast begins at 8:20 and school begins at 8:50 - we do not have before school programs or the staff to handle students arriving before necessary. So, let's keep our bobcats warm, dry, and safe by dressing them appropriately for the weather and not dropping them off too early. Thank you for your help!

Oh, hey! Just a reminder that Fall pictures are happening next Monday and Tuesday, September 23 and 24. Check teacher newsletters or update emails for each teacher's scheduled day. After that just throw on your most responsible looking fit, turn on the charm, and say cheese! ;)

Now that we've got the drop off line running smoothly, let's talk about pick up at the end of the day! First, nobody should ever be driving more than about 5mph in a school parking lot. Even if you're the last person to arrive for afternoon pick up, slow it down. Next, follow the same guidelines as the drop-off car line and only pick children up in the same spot. By stopping and picking up children at the bottom of the parking lot (near the portables) you actually slow everything down and make the process longer than necessary. Children should NEVER be walking between cars to meet you in the parking lot. Let's keep it slow, steady, and safe for our Bountiful Bobcats and their loved ones!
