This month, our school is focusing on Effort Matters. While grades and achievements are important, we believe that the greatest growth happens when students are willing to work hard, learn from mistakes, and keep trying, even when something feels difficult.
Effort builds confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
At home, we encourage families to praise persistence as much as results. Ask your child what challenged them today, what they learned from a mistake, or what they are proud they didn't give up on.
When children understand that success comes from consistent effort rather than perfection, they develop the confidence to tackle new challenges.
Every step forward matters, and every effort helps us continue to Make It Matter.
Make it Matter: Your Voice Matters
Each month we ask our Bountiful Elementary Community on question connected to our Make It Matter focus. Your anonymous feedback helps us understand what families are experiencing, identify common themes, and find ways we can better support out students and community
This month's question: What kinds of effort, growth, or perseverance do you think deserves to be noticed more often at school?

Your Feedback is Anonymous
We welcome honest, respectful input. Please keep your response focused on this month's question and avoid including student, staff, or family names or other details which could identify an individual.
This form is designed to help us notice common themes, better understand our community's experiences, and identify ways we can improve. It is not intended for reporting individual concerns or situations that require follow-up.
If you find your response needs specific names, dates, locations, or other details for us to fully understand the situation, we want to have that conversation with you directly. Please contact Principal Pickett or the school office so we can listen, ask questions, and work with you toward a solution.
Please remember that because responses are anonymous, we cannot follow up with you individually through this form.
You Shared. We're Listening.
Last month, we asked what Bountiful Elementary could do to help your child or family start the school year strong.
Several responses pointed to a common theme: families value clear consistent expectations. In particular, we heard questions and feedback about expectations around dress code and toys or personal items brought to school.
Thank you for helping us see where greater clarity and consistency matter. We'll continue working to make the school expectations easier for families to understand and more consistent in how they are communicated and reinforced.
Sometimes listening leads to something new. Other times, it helps us recognize where we simply need to communicate more clearly. Both matter and your feedback helps us know where to focus.
