As we begin a brand-new school year, our theme for August is Start Strong. Every school year offers a fresh opportunity, a chance to build new friendships, establish positive routines, set meaningful goals, and create habits that lead to success.
We want every student to know that how they begin matters. Showing up ready to learn, treating others with kindness, taking responsibility, and believing in themselves creates a strong foundation for everything that follows.
Families play an important role in helping students start strong. Establishing consistent bedtime and morning routines, talking positively about school, encouraging perseverance, and celebrating small successes all make a tremendous difference.
At Bountiful Elementary, we are committed to creating a place where every child feels safe, valued, challenged, and loved. Together, let's make this a year where every student begins with confidence, purpose, and the belief that they truly can Make It Matter.
Make it Matter: Your Voice Matters
Making it matter also means making sure our families have a voice. Each month, alongside my Make it Matter message, we'll ask our Bountiful Elementary community one question. These quick, anonymous check-ins are an opportunity to tell us what's working, what would help, and what we may need to better understand.
We'll review the responses for common themes and opportunities where we can make a difference. While we may not be able to act on every suggestion, your feedback will help us better understand the experiences and needs of our school community.
