Bountiful Elementary is bringing back a beloved opportunity for students this spring as Coach K reintroduces the school’s Decathlon Team after a prolonged absence.
The Decathlon is a district-wide event that gives students the chance to work together, build confidence, and compete as a team. Across Davis School District, many schools look forward to this event each spring as students come together for a day filled with teamwork, encouragement, and friendly competition.
This year’s Bountiful Elementary Decathlon Team will compete in 10 different events:
Jump rope
Cup stacking
200M dash
Basketball dribbling
Accuracy throw
Push-ups
Curl-ups
Long jump
Sit-and-reach
Shuttle run
For Coach K, bringing the Decathlon back is about more than the competition itself. It is an opportunity for students to support one another, celebrate different strengths, and experience what it feels like to be part of a team.
Congratulations to the following students from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade who will represent Bountiful Elementary at the Davis School District Decathlon on Monday, May 11, at Western Sports Park in Farmington. The event begins at 9:00 AM, and families of participating students are encouraged to attend and cheer from the bleachers.
