At Bountiful Elementary, robotics gives students a place to try, fail, adjust, and keep going. This season, our six competitive VEX IQ teams did far more than post strong results. They learned how to solve problems, work as a team, explain their thinking, and grow through challenges that did not always have easy answers.
Throughout the 2025-2026 VEX IQ season, students used the engineering design process to build, drive, and code their way through the game, Mix & Match. By the end of the season, three teams advanced to the Utah VEX IQ Elementary State Championship, multiple teams earned judged awards, and every team had a story of growth worth celebrating.
This season also showed the deeper value of robotics at Bountiful Elementary. It gives students real opportunities to build confidence, practice perseverance, and discover what can happen when effort turns into progress. As we look ahead to the official game reveal for the 2026-2027 season, we are proud of what these teams accomplished and excited about what continued support can make possible for the Bobcats who come next.
94329A | The Circuit Sisters

The Circuit Sisters came out strong with a finals appearance in the first competition. The middle of the season got harder, which is true for a lot of young teams, but they kept going. They kept building, competing, and learning from each other. By the end of the year, they earned their best Robot Skills score of the season. Their story is a good reminder that robotics is not just about results. It gives students the chance to work through setbacks, stick with a challenge, and see real growth over time.
94329B | THE 4BIDDEN5

THE 4BIDDEN5 had one of the biggest breakout seasons in the program. They started strong, hit a few bumps in the middle, then came on strong late with a finals appearance, an Excellence Award, and a trip to the State Championship. At State, they kept improving and finished 15th in Robot Skills out of Utah's top 60 elementary teams. Their season showed what can happen when students have the support, time and opportunity to keep working until things click.
94329C | Baby Boomers

The Baby Boomers opened the season with a finals appearance and quickly showed they could compete. As the year went on, the competition got tougher, but they stayed with it. Their season is a good example of why robotics matter. Students learn how to respond when things get hard, how to keep solving problems, and how to grow from the experience beyond the scoreboard.
94329D | The Silly Gooses

The Silly Gooses put together one of the strongest all-around seasons in the Bobcat robotics program. They earned both the Inspire Award and the Judges Award, improved their skills scores, and made multiple finals appearances. They stood out not only for how they preformed, but for how they explained their ideas, represented their work, and carried themselves as a team. Their season showed the kind of confidence, communication, and preparation students can build when they are given the opportunity to compete and grow.
94329E | VEXers

VEXers had one of the clearest growth stories of the season. Event by event, they raised their level of play, posted one of the top skills scores in the program, and earned their place at State. By the end of the year, they looked like a completely different team in the best way. Their season showed how much can change when students have the chance to practice, problem-solve, and start believing in what they can do.
94329F | BOT_BROS

BOT_BROS were one of the steadiest teams in the Bobcat robotics program from start to finish. They preformed well across multiple events, made finals consistently, and earned their way to State through focus and dependable performance. They were prepared, consistent, and ready to compete each time they stepped on the field. Their season showed how robotics helps students build discipline, confidence, and the kind of steady growth that lasts beyond one competition.
As we celebrate what these teams accomplished, we are also looking ahead to next season, and what it will take to keep Bountiful Elementary robotics growing. Programs like VEX IQ give students the chance to think critically, solve problems, work as a team, and grow confidence through real challenges.
Donations ensure the robotics program stays accessible and sustainable. Community support directly funds registration fees, competition costs, equipment purchases, and other resources that make these experiences possible.
